Eugene Field Elementary School

Tulsa, Oklahoma

This project involved a new single-story school replacement building being added to the original 80-year-old elementary school building. The new school was built adjacent to the original which continued in operation during construction. It houses 350 students from kindergarten to 5th grade and a program for four-year-old children. Decorative stone and terra-cotta work were removed from the old school and reused in the new entry facade.

The building includes two wings with 10-classroom each, a media center, administration area, art and music classrooms, a gym with a stage, and a cafeteria with a full kitchen.

The project was awarded an ABC Excellence in Construction Award in 2006.
