When you are looking for Tulsa architects, think CJC Architects.
Founded in 1953, CJC Architects, Inc. has operated continuously in Tulsa as a full-service, client oriented firm. The original founders, Joseph Coleman, FAIA, and Bruce Ervin, AIA founded the firm Coleman Ervin and Associates and eventually located their offices at their newly renovated Old City Hall building in downtown Tulsa. Joined by Larry Johnston, AIA and renamed Coleman, Ervin, Johnston, Inc., the firm worked on several notable projects in Tulsa including the renovation of the original Central High School into the AEP-PSO Tulsa office headquarters. The firm managed by Coleman, Johnston, and Maurice Clyma, AIA eventually became known as CJC Architects, Inc. and continued to earn a reputation for the design of quality and high performing projects throughout the Tulsa Metropolitan Area and the State of Oklahoma. Our office is currently conveniently located just south of downtown Tulsa and close to the Arkansas River. Today, Tim Boeckman, AIA, John Hall, AIA, and Michael Hagan AIA continue to provide thoughtful and dependable service to their clients throughout Oklahoma in the same manner passed down by it founders as they focus the firm on Tulsa and Oklahoma’s bright future. We continue to service our long-term client relationships with Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Tulsa Public Schools, the First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow, and the Oklahoma Military Department in Oklahoma City and are eager to build new client relationships.
Our office operates through a collaborative, open environment, where our entire office participates in the development of the projects we undertake. For each project, two firm principals are assigned to be the design team “head” that participate in the project from initial programming and concept design phases through the closeout of construction. Involvement in all phases of the project’s development allows us to maintain a consistent vision of a project’s priorities through the long construction process. The two principals assigned to the project support each other, one acting as the primary point of contact, the other providing backup and quality assurance functions. Together they manage the design team consultants and keep them focused on the project needs.
