CJC Architects, Inc., under Starr Design, recently completed the Cherokee National Research Center in Tahlequah, OK. This design-build project was rewarding in many ways as it provided solutions for the Cherokee Nation to display and feature their historic collections as well as a safe structure to house invaluable artifacts. Converting this existing retail space into a FEMA grade shelter and vault with environmental, safety and security controls is a great example of CJC’s ability to provide clear solutions to complex projects. This 6,800 sq ft space also features an open workspace area for the public to research historic articles of interest.
